Dr. Daniel joined Bay Area Rheumatology in June 2018. Dr. Daniel enjoys treating all rheumatologic diseases including, but not limited to, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and psoriatic arthritis. More importantly, he values educating his patients on the disease process and therapeutic options. Dr. Daniel consistently incorporates patient preference, cost, and practicality in treatment decisions. Dr. Daniel spent his formative years in Miami, Florida where he completed high school. He later obtained a bachelor of science in biology with a minor in chemistry at Florida International University, graduating cum laude. After college, Dr. Daniel matriculated into the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He transitioned to the Jackson Memorial and Miami Veterans Hospitals for Internal Medicine Residency and was recognized as the Paff Outstanding Resident Teacher in his final year of training. Dr. Daniel pursued his rheumatology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina and simultaneously obtained a Masters Degree in Clinical Research. Dr. Daniel has practiced rheumatology in various sectors including academic, multi-specialty, and single specialty settings. Dr. Daniel is the Assistant Program Director for Bayonet Pointe Rheumatology Fellowship Training Program and is an Assistant Professor at the HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine. He is also rheumatology faculty at Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has participated in multiple clinical trials.
